Finding clients for your creative business is about more than marketing.

From the way you run your sales calls to the way you send off your clients into the sunset, your client experience is key to growing your business from within.

It’s what ensures your clients are successful.
It’s what keeps them coming back.
It’s what prompts them to send others your way.

This week, we’re looking inside web designer Christy Price’s business because she delivers an exceptionally dialed in client experience.

Christy’s been in the web design game over 20 years, running her own practice for last decade. We talked all about where she finds clients and what she offers.

Her two biggest sources of leads? Google search and referrals from past clients. Christy didn’t stop there though.

As she was marketing her custom web design work, she developed new income streams:
💰 affiliate income from tools
💰 digital download income
💰 web design template income
💰 power hour income and more

She leveraged her blog and then eventually her email list to do all the above. Pretty impressive if you ask me! And what’s so encouraging about it is that it’s not just marketing…it’s also Christy’s way of spreading the wealth of knowledge she has.

Marketing and educating at the same time (turns out Google loves that and so do Honeybook and Squarespace, two of Christy’s frequent collaborators!)

She’s also experimented with channels like Pinterest and podcasting. In this episode, she shares the thinking behind it all, what’s worked and what’s been shelved.

Before you follow in her footsteps though, here’s what Christy said about her experiments in marketing:
“I went in with this expectation that it would work for me like it worked for other people. I think you really quickly get disabused of that notion. You run your business differently. You talk about different things. You’re a different human. Your audiences and the way you attract them are going to be a little different too.”

Whether you’re thinking of expanding your income streams or you’re wondering how to book up your 2024, this episode will get your wheels turning.

P.S. Growthtrackers Live is back this Friday at 12pm ET on YouTube with how to run your first marketing test. We’re going to be talking about how to test selling web design templates.
